"Take my life, and let it be
Consecrated, Lord, to Thee;
Take my moments and my days,
Let them flow in ceaseless praise,
Let them flow in ceaseless praise."
About Me
Erwin
Happily married to the woman that God hand picked for me before I even knew who she was. Some people call her Rebekah, some call her Becky, but to me she's just my Becks. Now since embarking on the new journey God set before me as a married man on February 16, 2008, I thought what better way to document this next chapter of my life than through a blog. So these are my calculated, and at times random, words, thoughts, meditations, ideas, and photographs - these are my Wond-ER Years.
Look for my weekly photo series chronicling my "blasts from the past" since the initial purchase of my Canon S50 digital camera. I will take you to places far and wide as well as places near and dear to the place I call home.

The Ministry - Christ Our Redeemer Exalted (CORE)
The Career Ministry is a Christ centered, dynamic ministry committed to the equipping and growth of the young, unmarried professional at CBC. The Career Ministry is trained on how to apply Biblical principles in their everyday lives no matter the circumstance God has them in. Through our weekly Bible Study, discipleship ministrys, and various outreaches, members are challenged and stretched in their faith to live their lives in service to Christ and one another. “And we proclaim Him, admonishing every man and teaching every man with all wisdom, that we may present every man complete in Christ.” (Col 1:28). Meetings are every Friday @ 7:30 pm, 7 Reedgrass Court, American Canyon, CA

Last month, our CORE group had a chance to tour the Scharffen Berger Chocolate Factory in Emeryville. Before this trip I had never heard of them, but apparently they're a really well-known gourmet chocolate. We spent about 30 minutes waiting and browsing their gift shop before the start of our private tour. We then spent an hour listening to a very energetic lady giving the history of the company. During the presentation, we got to sample numerous types of chocolates, most of which were high concentrations of cacao. Afterwords, we then got to do a tour of their facility, which was rather small, but was full of vintage type machines. It was definitely no Jelly Belly, which is full of high-tech machines. We even met and got to take a picture with the owner, who was raiding the gift shop for some treats to take as presents. We finished the day off by having dinner at the Emeryville Public Market.
